SNOBOL4 is a separate language. It's not SNOBOL 4 (or 4.0). Actually anything before SNOBOL4 is considered lousy -- even among die-hard SNOBOL fans.
SNOBOL5 development was started, but the language evolved eventually into Icon... [[User:rms_s4|rms_s4]]
